A look at the daily themes and activities:

Day 1
Mindset—an activity on building mindsets of personal growth, spiritual connection, and ever-increasing faith in Allah as we start our journey and prepare for Ramadan. Learning to see Ramadan as an opportunity, as opposed to just an obligation.

Day 2
Quranic experience—a discussion on opening the book up to you in your life by going through its meaning. A demonstration of running translation, as well as a full run-through of the most oft-recited surah, Al-Fatihah.

Day 3
Perfecting the prayer—an activity on building physical mindfulness during the postures of prayer to aid concentration and focus. Preparing for Ramadan to get a lot out of a little worship (rather than only a little out of a lot of worship).

Day 4
Quranic exposure—a discussion on appreciating the Quran even when you don’t understand; how to engage with the recitation. Preparing for the high amount of Quran-listening that comes with Ramadan.

Day 5
Fueling your worship—a discussion on building mindfulness around nutrition, especially within Ramadan, as a means of improving one’s health and vitality to better worship Allah.

Day 6
Receiving your revelation—an activity on re-establishing your relationship with the Quran, breaking the barriers and building the habit. Beyond pronunciation or perfection, the goal is to progress by consistently consuming the Quran (and claiming it as your revelation).

Day 7
Duas for departure—an activity on building your goals by supercharging your own duas. Depart from the holy cities with a practical plan to ask God for your continued growth, and faith in His ability to give you it as you return for the month of Ramadan.

Day 8
Reviewing your revelation—a final reflection and visualization activity to use this experience as an anchor to keep you going in your growth as you return home (magnifying the experiences so it doesn’t fade).

*Note: the activities listed represent only the general theme and some activities of each day which will be supplemented by and conducted during visits to the holy sites within Makkah and Madinah.
